Description
Most of the C. Hammond hammers I’ve run across are cobbler’s hammers. This one’s in decent shape. There’s a small chip on one edge of the striking face (see photo), and what looks to be a repaired split in the handle near the head, probably the result of an overstrike. The handle is very firmly anchored in the head, though, so the repaired split is nothing to worry about. An unusual hammer from a well-known Philadelphia maker.
