Stanley #9-1/2 adjustable-throat block plane, Type 7 (1886-1888)

Description

A nice old-timer.  This model lacks the eccentric lever for adjusting the throat; that would only appear a few years later.   As always, the japanning on the heel of the lever cap is worn away.  There’s light storage rust on the the cutter, but the edge appears well-kept.   The sole has a small rust spot as well, but it will lap out in about 2 seconds.
