Stanley #60-1/2 low angle adjustable throat block plane (1962-67)

Description

This low-angle block plane hails from Stanley’s “Blue Period”, 1962-67. Finishes on the lever cap are worn, as usual,  in the places where the user’s hand would rest.  Throat adjustment works easily and well.  Curiously, the cutter has the very first Stanley Rule and Level trademark, indicating that it’s a replacement from a much earlier period.
