Description
This earliest type of the Stanley 65 did not have an adjustable throat. The cutter is bedded at 12-1/2 degrees. Front knob on this one has the typical toolbox dings, but nothing bad. Some of the nickel on the heel of the lever cap has worn from use – it’s about 90% or better. Japanning in the bed has the usual minor flaking at the toe but is otherwise intact. A good example of this most unusual type.
