Description
Let’s get straight to the “almost correct” part. This one has the cutter and depth stop. It also has both spurs, but they appear either to be not original or fabricated, and the screws are stripped out. (see photos) One is serviceable as matters stand; the other may be worn down a little too far. Please note that spurs for these are not interchangeable among 39s of different widths, so if you buy replacements make sure they’re for the 3/8″.
Otherwise, the cutter’s fine, the plane has about 60% of its original japanning, and about half the plating is present on the plated screws.
