Description
Handsome, large Sheffield-made try square with brass edge and hang hole. Blade does not have a measurement scale, and is patina’d. Stock looks like it could be mahogany but it’s hard to tell for sure. Gave it a flip test and it’s reasonably accurate for one this length.
Flather and Sons was a Sheffield toolmaker who operated between 1856 and 1900 in Solly Street.
