Description
The maker’s markings on the steel back of this saw are quite faint; I have not been able to identify the maker, though I think only two letters are so faint as to be illegible.
The handles on carcase saws are angled in such a way as to produce long, horizontal cuts of the sort that you’d need for cutting dados in a horizontal surface. This one is sort of an oddity — if you look at the photo you’ll see that there’s a sort of tab under the handle, clearly there intentionally. It will not be a problem for saw cuts under about 13″ in length. There are no missing or damaged teeth and the blade is straight.
