7/8″ corner chisel by Buck Brothers, Millbury, Mass.

Description

A well-maintained corner chisel (the spur is still intact) made by one of the best American manufacturers.  7″ left to the shoulder.  The mark dates the chisel’s manufacture to sometime between 1865 and 1875.

The handle is not the original one, and is not particularly well-fitted or suited to being pounded on by timber framers,  so chances are you’ll want to replace it.
