1-1/4″ skew rabbet plane, made by John M. Taber, New Bedford

Description

This plane was made sometime between 1820 and 1872, the years that Taber was active. It’s in great condition. There’s very little mushrooming on the wedge, the usual rounding on the corners at the toe and heel, and a couple of tiny micro-chips on the toe. The cutter’s quite sharp and there’s about an inch left, enough for years of use.
