Description
This hammer bears the Keen Kutter mark used by the E.C. Simmons Hardware Company. It’s a mass of contradictions. The head is similar to the engineer’s hammers used in metalworking, but is small and light enough that it might be a tack hammer. On the other hand, the shaft is quite thin and the handle fairly small, most resembling certain types of piano-tuner’s tools. There are a few very tiny chips around the edge of the face; otherwise in I’ve never seen another like it. It’s intriguing and unusual.
