Description
This one’s a bit of a mystery. It’s a single-pinion drill whose frame is shaped like a Millers Falls drill, but with a solid gear wheel. I can’t find a MF or Goodell-Pratt drill that has this combination of an open frame and a solid wheel. It’s also possible that it’s a German knockoff. Most interesting is how well it runs — single pinion drills often have lash or chatter, but this one does not.
The chuck is a little chewed up from Plier Abuse and the paint job could be better. There are three original bits in the handle that don’t look like anything I’ve ever seen before.
An interesting little mystery.
