Description
This one has a painted hardwood front knob and tote. They appear to be original. Japanning in the bed is around 95%; nickel plating on the lever cap is only about 50%, but that’s not unusual. There is a patch of fairly deep pitting on the right side of the plane, just behind where the frog sits (pictured). There is a similar patch of pitting on the sole, in roughly the same “latitude” as the pitting on the side. I’m guessing the plane was stored badly, but I don’t think the pitting will affect use in the slightest. Because it ain’t purty, I’ve priced it to sell…..
