Stanley #5C corrugated-sole jack plane, Type 16

Description

This looks to be an early Type 16 — we can date it pretty accurately to 1933 because it has a Type 15-style lever cap.   Rosewood knob and tote have  the usual toolbox dings and ring scratches, maybe a few more than usual.  Japanning in the bed is about 85%, with most of what’s missing missing from the heel end of the plane (why does this always happen? Beats me.)   Cutter has a couple inches left on it, more than enough for a few years’ use.
