Stanley #5 jack plane, type 16 (1933-41)

Description

This plane is in good condition.   The knob has the usual ring scratches and toolbox dings; the tote has a break which has been well repaired.  As often happens, the owner sliced off the top of the tote to give more room for the lateral adjustment lever to work.   Japanning in the bed is near 100%.   There’s a layer of storage rust on the lever cap which should clean easily with a little WD40.
