Description
This duplex block plane functions both as a regular block plane and as a bullnose plane for working into tight corners. Because of the duplex function, there’s no mechanism for making fine adjustments to the depth of the cutter — because the cutter needs to slope the other way, there’s no place to put such a thing.
Trademark stamped on the cutter indicates that this is a pretty early model. Japanning in the bed is roughly 70%, and is completely worn off the sorta-lever-cap because that’s where the user’s palm rests. There’s a split in the front knob — often happens when these are overtightened — but some superglue will take care of that in a hurry.
