Description
Complex molding plane made in Hartford, CT between 1831 and 1842. Double-boxed; both boxing strips are chipped at the heel, and the inboard strip has some dings forward of the cutter. The wedge may be a well-made replacement, or not — could also be a repair. The plane is otherwise clean and crisp and will work perfectly well. Not many American makers produced these.
