Hand-forged rip-claw hammer with horse-and-star logo, labeled “VG”

Description

This is a very interesting hammer.  I’ve not been able to find out whose logo it is.  It’s clearly not a one-off.  The hammer has two different Cheney-style nail starting channels, one on the top and one on the bottom.  It’s also stamped “500”, which I’m guessing is the weight of the head (500g).   A very interesting and intriguing tool, and likely to be a unique member of somebody’s extensive collection someday.
