C.S.Osborne #62 strapped-eye upholsterer’s hammer, 3/8″ face

Osborne was the foremost maker of leatherworking and upholstering tools.  This hammer — basically a tack hammer — has an unusual design.  The head is both wedged into an adze-eye and reinforced with a strap-eye design that runs about halfway down the handle.  The handle has a series of grooves that prevent it from slipping out of your hand.   An unusual and useful item if upholstery is your thing.
