Description
This is an unusual beast, from a Canadian maker in Roxton Pond, Quebec. It cuts a semicircular flute about 1/4″ in radius at a fixed distance of about 1/2″ from the edge of a workpiece. The 1-3/4″ marked on the heel evidently refers to the size of the stock it’s intended for. Think of it as kind of a reverse astragal.
This one’s clean and crisp and has not seen a lot of use. A bit of a curiosity.
