5/16″ wooden hollow plane, by Way and Sherman, New York (1849-52)

Description

This 5/16″ hollow is in well-above-average condition.  There’s a tiny bit of mushrooming and some micro-chips on the wedge; these occur routinely when the wedge is inserted and removed.  There’s a slight stain on the right side and a tiny spot of paint on the left.  The arrises are clean and crisp; there’s the usual chipping at the toe.  In great condition.
