Description
This plane is in average condition. I’ve substituted a new cutter for the old one, which was quite short; not sure it’s the appropriate one for this type, but I’m not sure who would care about this. The owner drilled a hang hole which, wonder of wonders, is actually centered properly. He also cut off some of the horn on the tote, which is usually done to make the lateral adjustment lever easier to work with. There are some wood-glue drips (looks like Tite-Bond) in the bed, but they should be pretty easy to remove. A fair amount of the japanning in the bed is still there, around 80% at a guess. There are a couple of holes drilled partway through the sides — guessing this was for mounting a fence. They won’t interfere with the operation of the plane.
