Heavy-duty 1-1/2″ socket firmer chisel, unmarked, hand-forged

Description

This massive socket firmer chisel was clearly made for timber framing.  It appears to be hand-forged, and there is no maker’s mark on it.  The handle appears to be original (at least, it fits very well, and appears to have been hand-turned (there are screw holes from the lathe on the end).   It’ll need a little sharpening.
