1-3/4″ skew rabbet, made by Bensen and Crannell, Albany.

Description

This one was made sometime between 1844 and 1862.  There’s about an inch and a half left on the cutter.  The mouth is in good shape; there are a couple of microdings on the front (probably from nail strikes), and a couple of small stains on the body. Wedge has a small amount of mushrooming from adjustment with a hammer, but nothing too bad.  Will make a good worker.
