Description
1″ nosing plane made by the Ohio Tool Company. Hard to pin down a date of manufacture for this one — the company was in business from 1850 to 1920 and made wooden planes pretty much right up to the end. This one’s clean and fairly crisp – there are some very small chips in unusual places, probably the result of drops, but the wedge is in good shape with no mushrooming, and the arrises are in good shape. There’s a micro-chip just ahead of the cutter on the right side. The cutter’s sharp and well-kept. A good one.
