7/8″ dado plane by Shiverick

Description

Dado plane made between 1865 and 1867 by Shiverick, a planemaker in Brooklyn, NY.   The wedge for the nicker appears to be a replacement, but it was decently done.  Plane is otherwise quite crisp; could use a rubdown with mineral spirits, but there’s no mushrooming on the wedge, the nicker(s) are intact and the cutter’s in good shape.  Depth stop operates smoothly.
