7/8″ single-boxed side bead by Copeland and Co.

Description

This plane was made between 1855 and 1866 by the last of the many Copeland plane-making companies.   It’s an unusually large size for a side bead.   The plane is very clean and crisp, one minor ding to the wedge and a single microchip at the toe.   Iron had to be de-rusted,  but came out clean — will need some honing and lapping.  A good one in an unusual size.

The mark carries one star for rarity in Pollak.
